Best Rated Book regarding Omaha Poker
Overview
‘How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker’ by Mike Cappelletti is highly rated high low Omaha poker book. It is very popular among poker players both beginners and advanced players. It is really the best strategy guide that was every written for Omaha 8.
Book Structure
’How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker’ has about 230 pages, 11 chapters. Its author provides enough charts for better readers understanding. It was a good author’s idea to include them in the book.
Unique Advantages
One of the unique advantages of Cappelletti’s book is the beginning of the book is dedicated to starting hands, one of the most important things poker players should be well aware about. It is not the first work written by Cappelletti. In this exactly work the author goes into more details concerning Omaha and I absolutely agree with him.
Disadvantages
To my mind the reader feels uncomfortable and confused is chapter dedicated to math. I guess, the math is extra here. What I think should be really great is just an ordinary way of calculating of hitting a high, low, or scooping against a random hand. As a Hold’em player, if I have 8 outs once I’m going to make my hand about 17% of the time.
Summary
To conclude, this book is similar to many other that describe poker playing. The author did not include anything that make reader believe that Omaha poker game is one of the most popular and fantastic game. This work lacks of zest. I am not sure that every reader who have dedicated to play poker would use strategies presented by the author. However, it would be wrong if I do not say that some of the strategies are quite good.
